The Electoral Management Board for Wales has thanked the people across the country who worked to deliver the Senedd elections.
It has also published full results from the election onto vote.wales, while work will now begin on preparing Wales’ voter information website for next year’s council elections.
Commenting following the election, Chair of Democracy and Boundary Commission Cymru, Karen Jones said:
“This Senedd election was delivered under a new framework. Returning Officers and their teams across Wales have done an excellent job in responding to the changes - new constituencies, a new voting system, and more Members of the Senedd being elected than before.
“The Electoral Management Board wants to put on record its thanks to everyone who ensured voters were able to cast their votes, the count staff who patiently and diligently counted thousands of ballots and the many partners who helped to explain the the rules for this election and supported the returning officers in the important role they undertake.
“We are also pleased to have been able to introduce the vote.wales information platform - the first election where voters have had access to a digital 'one stop shop' of information for a Senedd election. We will now evaluate the platform and use the research findings to inform future developments."
