Freepost election leaflets for parties and independent candidates standing in the Senedd election have been published online at vote.wales.

Voters can view the leaflets and learn exactly what the candidates in their area stand for by visiting new elections information website vote.wales.

Vote.wales is a brand new website, launched for this year’s Senedd election. Its purpose is to turn voting confusion into voting confidence.

Vote.wales is managed by the Electoral Management Board for Wales, part of the Democracy and Boundary Commission Cymru.

Candidate information was published on vote.wales on 10 April, allowing people across the 16 Senedd constituencies to find out who’s asking for their vote. Now, the website has also published their leaflets so that people not only know who’s standing, but what they’re standing for.

You can find the candidates and the leaflets for your area with a simple postcode search, or you can see information from across Wales by browsing the 16 constituencies. Candidates and parties who have not yet submitted leaflets to be published online can still do so, and more will be published each Thursday ahead of election day on 7 May.

Vote.wales also has information about how to vote at this election, as well as who can vote, and what the Senedd is responsible for.

Commenting on the publication of election leaflets, chief executive of the Democracy and Boundary Commission Cymru, Shereen Williams MBE OStJ said:

“This is a really important election, and this is the first election where people can see these leaflets online at vote.wales.

“Vote.wales has all the information you need to turn voting confusion into voting confidence. You can see where to vote, who you can vote for, and now, why parties and candidates think you should vote for them.

“Go to vote.wales and get to know this election. Voting confidence starts here.”

Political parties and independent candidates are responsible for submitting their leaflets to the Electoral Management Board to be published on vote.wales.

Only election leaflets submitted to the Electoral Management Board will be published.

The Electoral Management Board is not responsible for the content of leaflets, and does not amend or translate any content submitted. The content and language of leaflets is entirely the responsibility of the candidates and their agents.
