The Electoral Management Board is part of the Democracy and Boundary Commission Cymru, an independent, Welsh Government-sponsored body. The Board and the Commission are separate from Welsh Government, the Senedd, and all political parties in Wales.
Everything the Electoral Management Board does is politically neutral. Its aim is to strengthen the democratic health of Wales by making sure people get information they can trust on elections, whatever their political views are.
Information on this site comes from a mix of places. Information written by the Electoral Management Board has been checked for accuracy, while other information has come from trusted partners like the Electoral Commission, UK government, Senedd Commission, and Returning Officers (the people who run elections locally).
This website has some links to other trusted sites.
Polling station (places where you vote in person) information including information about accessibility, and the list of political parties and candidates standing in each constituency (voting area) comes from the Returning Officers. The Democracy Club, a trusted partner (who are a Community Interest Company) gives us some of this information.
Candidates and political parties can publish their election addresses on this site. Election addresses are an online version of the leaflets which are sent to all voters free-of-charge by Royal Mail. Every candidate or political party can submit an election address to this site. The Electoral Management Board publishes them on this site without changing them. Candidates and political parties decide what election addresses say. Election addresses should be read as campaign leaflets. They are not neutral information.
